Welcome...this site was made to promote and show the beautiful Silver Tabby and Smoke Point Birmans, as well as the rare Caramel Birmans.

Noelene and Allan Dally, from Arodelle Birmans, were among the first breeders of Birmans in New Zealand. Noelene started breeding in 1971 and had the first litter of Birmans in 1974. In 1975 she started the red points. In 1976 she made the first red point champion in NZ. She started the tabbys in 1989. The cat used to start the Silver was a Silver Tabby cat of unknown pedigree. Ch Arodelle Snow Angel (a high grade Seal Silver Tabby 52S/F) a third gen was the first silver tabby to become a Champion.

It took several years to get the Cat Fancy to accept this as a challenge status, although Angel won challenge certificates at an early stage. She was 7 years old before it was in "black and white". The Catzago cattery, Pauline van der Hoorn and Sandy Steward , then joined toghether with Arodelle Cattery. The goal is to breed Birmans of superb type, as well as achieving the colour Silver and Smoke in the Sacred Cats of Burma. Fancypawz is our prefix which is especially for the Silvers. Noelene and Allan retired to Australia in 2002 and Fancypawz is now jointly owned by Pauline and Sandy. In our Catzago prefix we concetrate on pure seal and blue lines of Birmans.

We live in beautiful Kaukapakapa, just north of Auckland, New Zealand
